Sterlite Power is a leading global developer of power transmission infrastructure with projects of over ~12,500 circuit kms and 22,719 MVA in India and Brazil. With an industry-leading portfolio of power conductors, EHV cables and OPGW, Sterlite Power also offers solutions for upgrading, uprating and strengthening existing networks.
Sterlite Power is also the sponsor of IndiGrid, India's first power sector Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), listed on the BSE and NSE.

Business Divisions:
- Global Infrastructure: Sterlite power bids, designs, construct, owns and operates power transmission assets across multiple geographies.
The division has 22 Power transmission projects, 9 operational assets with planned/ incurred capital expenditure of INR 36,305 Crs. The company is commanding 31.5% market share, by tariff of inter state projects awarded under competitive bidding in India. The company has achieved 99.84% availability across commissioned assets in 2017-2018.
- Solutions: Power utilities are facing increasing pressure due to rapid urbanization, demand growth and ageing infrastructure. They have an urgent need for augmentation and upgrades to meet their needs. The company helps power utilities tackle their network congestion challenges by providing solutions that upgrade and uprate corridor intensity.
Product portfolio includes conductors, Optical ground wire (OPGW), cables & solutions and Master business integration.
- Convergence Business: The aim of Convergence Business is ‘to be the best-in-class communications infrastructure and solutions provider by creating the most reliable network'. The company offers:
- Dark Fiber solutions which are reliable, efficient and scalable.
- Colocation solutions which are spacious, round the clock support and with multiple power backups.
- Proactive fiber monitoring which is cost effective and provides real time notification.
- Sterlite Investment Managers Ltd (SIML): SIML is the investment manager of Indigrid which was created in the year 2016 and is the first Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) in the power sector in the country. The InvIT was created with the purpose of acquiring operating power transmission Assets. The AUM of Indigrid is INR 10,667 Crs. KKR has invested INR 1,084 Crs and GIC has invested INR 980 Crs in Indigrid which takes their total holding in the InvIT at 42%. KKR has also applied to acquire an additional 15% in the InvIT and has also acquired 60% stake in SIML.
